Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of Earl Granville, that Mr Cowrie, Surgeon of H.M.S. "Sparrowhawk" has reported that His Excellency Frederick Seymour, Governor of British Columbia, died on board that ship on the 12 June 1869, at Bella Coola, British Columbia, of Typhoid Asthenia.
