In reply to Mr. Hankin's despatch No. 10 of the 18th June I have to express my approval of the payment from Colonial Funds of the passage money of Mr. Young and his family to this Country.
Mr. Young has been offered, and has accepted,theManuscript image the Office of the Assistant Colonial Secretary in Jamaica and under those circumstances his claim to a gratuity on account of the loss of his Office in British Columbia cannot for the present at least be entertained.
