I have to inform you that the sum of £5.12.4 being the Balance due to you on account of the sum of £225 originally paid by you to Mr. Gordon Gairdner, the Chief Clerk of my Office, in repayment of the Advances made by him from Public Funds on account of the Charges and Stamp on your Commission asGovernorManuscript image Governor of the Colony of British Columbia has been paid over to the Crown Agents for the Colonies with instructions to place the amount to your credit in their Account with the Colony of British Columbia.
You will take the necessary steps for repaying yourself this amount from Colony Funds.
