I enclose for your information, and with reference to Governor Seymour's Despatch, No. 42, of the 19th of March, a copy of an application which I have received from Mr. John White, Clerk to the Magistrate of the Columbia District, requesting an extension of hisleaveManuscript image leave of absence from British Columbia for Six Months from the 1st of March next.
As Mr. White has already been granted the full leave of absence to which his service entitled him I have caused him to be informed that I am unable to accede to his application.
