My Lord,
I have the honor to transmit an authenticated and two plain copies of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council entitled— An Ordinance to make general Regulations for the establishment and management of Cemeteries in the Colony of British Columbia.

2. It is unnecessary that I should add any remarks to those contained in the Attorney General's Report which is annexed. I think the measure a desirable one.

Cemeteries Ordinance.
Sanction.
I should be disposed to observe with reference to section 15 that it is not convenient that a clause of this kind should be inserted in each ordinance, and that such provisions should be passed in a general Interpretation Ordinance somewhat similar to the Imperial Act 13 & 14 V. c. 21 & thus made applicable to all Legislation in the Colony.
