My Lord,
I have the honor to report that under the authority of "An Ordinance respecting the Supreme Court" passed during the recent Session of the Legislative Council, I have appointed Mr Richard Woods to be Registrar and Mr Charles Edward Pooley to be Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court.

2. These can scarcely be regarded as new appointments, for these Gentlemen have for some Years filled the Office of Registrar to the Courts of Vancouver Island and the Mainland respectively, and are best qualified for the Offices, now for the first time provided for by Ordinance, as well as from previous service possessing the best claim to them.
3. I have given precedence to Mr Woods by appointing him Registrar because he is the older manandManuscript image and the Senior Officer.
