I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 5th Instant, informing me that, on the recommendation of Earl Granville, the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have sanctioned the payment to me of the sum of £110—to reimburse me the expense of my passage Home from British Columbia—and enclosingtheManuscript image the formal letter to enable me to obtain the amount from the Paymaster General.
