I should be much obliged if it is within the province of the
Colonial office to obtain the information requested by my
               correspondent

in the accompanying letter. He is a gentleman of
much scientific knowledge, a highly respectable dissenting
minister in Cambridge. He has sent three copies of the letter
supposing it possible that a copy may be sent to three
               different persons to obtain

 the information which is sought.

I venture to commend the matter to your kind consideration.
