Young to Birch (Assistant Clerk)

1 Mount Herman
Guernsey
My dear Mr Birch
I called on the Crown Agents last Wednesday to draw my Salary, and was told that it had not been advised, as soon as it was they would send the amount due me to Guernsey. Fearing it may not yet have been advised, I drop you a line to ask you kindly to move the necessaryMachineryManuscript image Machinery so that it may be done.
If the Colonial Office are in search of any hardworking Officials, and have any good appointments to give away, I am open to an offer, if it is anything better than the one I am now holding.
I remain
My dear Mr Birch
Yours truly
Jas. Judson Young
