No. 59
11 June 1870
Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 50 of the 28th April, and to convey to you Her Majesty's Gracious confirmation and allowance of the Ordinance passed by your Government (No. 15 of 1870) and entitled "An OrdinancetoManuscript image to make general regulations and establishments and management of Cemeteries in the Colony of British Columbia." I have to observe however with Section 15 that it is not convenient that a Clause of that kind should be inserted in each Ordinance and that such provisions should be passed in a General interpretation Ordinance somewhat similar to the Imperial Act 13 and 14 Vic. Cap. 21, and thus made applicable to all LegislationinManuscript image in the Colony.
I have the honor to be
Sir,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
Granville
