No. 62
11 June 1870
Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 63 of the 11 May and to convey to you Her Majesty's Gracious confirmation and allowance of the Ordinance passed by the Government of British Columbia and entitled No. 16 of 1870 An "Ordinance to assimilate and amend the Law relatingtoManuscript image to Bills of sale."
I have to point out to you however that it is not correct to repeal an Imperial Act as is done by the first Section of this ordinance, the proper course to assume is to enact that the Imperial Act shall be no longer in force with the Colony.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
Granville
