I have to point out to you that the leave of absence granted by you to Mr. G. Williams Government Printer, B. Columbia, has not been reported to this Office in accordance with the Colonial regulations.

On the strength of the Colonial Secretary's letter to the Crown Agents of the 13th of May I have authorized them to pay Mr. Williams half salary from the 11th of May to the 10th of November inclusive, at the rate of £8.4.11 1/2 per month.
