We have the honor to apply for the Earl of Kimberley's authority to comply with the enclosed Requisition for 1,000 [fls?] Rape oil &c, required by the Government of British Columbia, the estimated cost of which is £267, exclusive of freight and incidential charges.
The British Columbia account with this Department shows a balance of £680 in favor of the Colony, and we hold a Bill maturing for £2,000.
