Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 29 of the 22ndofManuscript image of March and in reply I have to convey to you my authority to relinquish the Government of British Columbia so soon as by the appointment of a Lieutenant Governor from Canada you are relieved from your present duties.
I also authorise you to draw a Bill at ten days sight on the Paymaster General for the sum of £800 as your Allowance for return passage.
You will have the goodness to furnish me with an immediate advice of your Bill in accordance with Clause 361 of the Colonial Regulations.
