With reference to my Despatch No. 47 of the 17 inst. confirming certain Acts passed by the Legislative Council of B.C. I have to request you to inform Chief Justice Begbie and Mr. Justice Crease that their objections to the Act No. 23 of 1871, "ThetrialManuscript image trial of controverted Elections Act" have received the careful consideration they deserve but that I have not thought it my duty to recommend Her Majesty to disallow this enactment.
