I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 9th Instant communicating the Copy of a Despatch from the Governor of Vancouver's Island to Earl Grey for which I beg you will convey to his Lordship the thanks of the Governor and Committee of the Hudson's Bay Company.
