I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Circular Despatch, of the 15th of August last, transmitting copy of a letter, addressed to the Colonial Department, by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, enclosing copy of a letter from the Postmaster General, recommending a reduction in the Gratuities paid to Masters of vessels, Pilots, Boatmen, and others, for the conveyance of ship letters.
Your instructions directing that the recommendation of the Postmaster General, be brought under theconsiderationManuscript image consideration of the Executive Council of this Colony, with a view to the proposed reduction being effected, Shall receive my immediate attention.
