I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Circular Despatch marked "Most secret and confidential," transmitting two printed copies of a code of private signals prepared by Her Majesty's Government, in concert with the Government of the Emperor of the French, for the use of the Ships of war, and the Forts and Colonies of the two Countries, with explanatory notes for the use of the same.
