My Lord
I had the honor of receiving your Despatch No 1, of the 29th of May last, on the 31st of Ultimo, and I observe with great satisfaction, that your Lordship approves, of the measures resorted to, for the relief of the Master and Crew of the "Lord Western", as reported in my letter of the 5th January 1854, and that you have directed that the expenses incurred, on that occasion, should be borne by the Trust Fund.
