I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Mr Merivale's letter to the Governor of the Hudsons Bay Company, dated 31st Ultimo, on the subject of the expences incurred by Governor Douglas in relieving the Master and Crew of the British Barque "Lord Western," wrecked off Vancouver's Island in the month of November last.
