Sir,
I have the honor to transmit to you for the information of
Secretary
Sir E.B. Lytton, the copy of a letter addressed to me
by direction of the Secretary of State for War respecting the
payment of the Pension of
Michael
Michael Kelcher, in
Vancouver's Island
from the
1st of April next and the stopping of ten shillings
from the first issue of such Pension.
I am therefore to request that the necessary instructions may be
given for carrying into effect the wishes of Secretary Major
General Peel.

P.S. In other Colonies it has been the practice for the
Colonial Treasurer to pay the Pensioner and then for the
Colonial Secretary to send to me the necessary Vouchers to
enable me to claim repayment from the War Department.

Letter & request him to comply with the request of the War Office.
