Reep informs the CO that a Deputation of Directors from the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company is desirous of discussing mail communication with British Columbia.
The minutes fix a date for an interview and “Put by.”

I am instructed to state that a Deputation of Directors from the Company are desirous of waiting upon you on the subject of Mail communication with British Columbia, in extension of the line now existing to Colon, and I am respectfully to solicit the favor of your granting them an interview in reference thereto.
If quite convenient to yourself the Deputation will be happy to wait on you on Manuscript imageMonday next at two o'clock.
