I am directed by Secretary Major General Peel to transmit to you the enclosed Transfer Certificate of the pensioner named in the margin,
Sappers & Miners at 1s/11d
Serjt Alexr Calder
who it appears has removed from Canada to Vancouver's Island, and to request that you will move the Secretary of State for the Colonies to issue the necessary instructions for the payment of this Non Commissioned Officer's pension, through the Colonial Authorities, from the date specified in the Certificate.
