I have the honor to acknowledge your Grace's confidential despatch of the 13th February last transmitting copies of correspondence between Her Majesty'sManuscript imageMajesty's Government and the Government of the United States on the settlement of the San Juan question, and copy of a despatch from Lord Lyons reporting the substance of a conversation with General Cass on reading to him the proposals of Her Majesty's Government for the settlement of the Oregon boundary question.
