Mr Henry Rhodes having been appointed Hawaiian Consul at Vancouver Island, and Her Majesty's Government having been apprized (by a letter from your Colonial Secretary to Mr Rhodes) that you see no objection to this appointment, I have the Manuscript imagehonor to acquaint you that the Queen's Exequatur empowering Mr Rhodes to act in the above capacity has received Her Majesty's signature.
The notification of Her Majesty's approval of this appointment appears in the Gazette of the 25th instant.
