In reply to Mr Elliot's Letter of the 15th Inst; I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to state, for the information of His Grace The Duke of Newcastle, that no Ship of War is likely to be shortly dispatched to the North Pacific Station which could convey 500 Stand of Rifles to Vancouver Island from this Country for the use of the Volunteer Corps in the Colony.
