I am directed by Lord John Russell to transmit to you a Copy of a Note from the Belgian Minister at this Court, requesting the good offices of Her Majesty's Government to enable him to procure certain information relative to Monsieur Adolphe Sokeren, who is stated to be a resident in Victoria, Vancouver's Island, BritishColumbiaManuscript image Columbia; and I am to request that in laying this paper before The Duke of Newcastle you will move His Grace to enable Lord John Russell to comply with Monsieur Van De Wyer's request.
