This letter will be presented to you by Mr. James Davidson Walker
who is proceeding to Vancouver Island.
Mr. Walker is going out as Manager of the Charted Bank of British Columbia, and is recommended to me by the Directors of the Bank at
whose request I write this letter. I have no doubt that you will be
happy to shew him any attention which you properly can.

Possibly, a final copy was not written, or Mr. Walker, the person expected to deliver it, failed to make the journey to Vancouver Island.
