My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Despatch No 8 of the 5th March, calling my attention to the absence of a special and complete rely to Your Graces Despatches of the 2nd and 19th of June last, forwarding chargespreferredManuscript image preferred by Mr E.E. Langford against certain Officers serving under my Government both in this Colony and in British Columbia.
2. I am glad to think that probably in a few days after the departure of the Despatch now under reply, Your Grace would receive my Despatches Nos 3, 4, and 5 of the 14th February, reporting in full upon the complaints of Mr LangfordandManuscript image and upon the particular points connected therewith.
