Sir,
I have the honor to acquaint you for the information of His Grace The Duke of Newcastle that the Colonial Treasurer of Vancouver Island has drawn a Bill at 30 days sight on The Agents General for Ten thousand pounds and dated 1st April last; and I beg to be favored with the necessary authority for accepting the same.
The Agents General have sufficient funds on Deposit to meet this Bill.
