With reference to the concluding paragraph of my despatch No. 23 of the 11th Ultimo, I have the honor to acquaint you that I have selected W. C. Sargeaunt Esq, one of the Agents General for Crown Colonies and Gordon Gairdner Esq the Chief Clerk of this Office to be the trustees for the management of the Sinking Fund of the loan which has been raised under "the Vancouver Island Road and Harbour Loan Act 1862."
