Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch Separate of the 3d of November last reporting that the Crown Agents had been instructed to repay the sum of Three Pounds being the amount of the Stamp Duty due on the Warrants of Messrs Gordon and Carey [Cary] as Treasurer and Attorney General for Vancouver Island; and to acquaint you that the agents have since repaid the sum in question.
