Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 31 of the 4th of June, and to approve the arrangement you have made for securing the Services of an Auditor, the result of which I understand to be that the sum of 725 Dollars ($725) voted by the AssemblywillManuscript image will be paid from the General Revenue to Mr. Ker for Auditing the Accounts of Vancouver Island.
I assume that Mr. Ker does not hold office in British Columbia.
