With reference to your despatch No. 83 of the 8th of October enclosing a letter from the President of the California State Telegraph Company I have the honor to inform you that I have received a despatch from the Governor of British Columbia from which I am glad to learn that Mr. Seymour anticipates no difficulty in adjusting mattersManuscript image with the Company. You will no doubt communicate with the Governor of British Columbia on any point in the case requiring your joint consideration and action, and I have requested Mr. Seymour to take a similar course.
