Sir,
I have received your Despatch of the 26th June No. 43 transmitting
further papers in connexion with the malpractices of Mr. Thomas G.
Williams, the late Registrar of the Supreme Court of Vancouver Island.
I have persused these papers; but beyond the expressionof

regret and dissatisfaction at the proceedings which they disclose, I
have no observation to offer. I have therefore only to refer you to the
