Sir,
I have the honor to enclose copies of the Government Gazette containing Proclamations proroguing the Legislature and dissolving the Legislative Assembly of this Colony. You will observe that the latter body expired by efflux of time.

The last Session was opened by me on the 28th November 1865 and the Assembly continued to sit till the 1st September 1866, and finally expired, as I shall inform you in another Despatch by this Mail, without having passed any Supply Bill for the year 1866.
