I have the honor to acquaint you that the "British Columbian Act 1866" has been this day published & proclaimed in this place, in accordance with the terms of the Act; and that therefore from and after this date the form of Government existing in Vancouver Island as aseparateManuscript image separate Colony ceases, and Vancouver Island becomes united with British Columbia, as provided by the Act.
