In reply to Mr Elliot's Letter of the 4th Instant, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to accept and pay a Bill, No 24, drawn by Mr A.E. Kennedy, Governor, & Mr Alexr Watson, Treasurer, of Vancouvers Island, for the sum of £1,500 for Special Pay of Royal Marines Stationed at San Juan.
