Sir,
The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have informed me that the sum of £10.4.0 is due to the Commander of Her Majesty's ship "Sparrowhawk" on account of expenses incurred in the entertainment of yourself three ladies and two Servants on the occasion of your visit to New Westminster in April last, reported in your Despatch No. 27 of the 14th ofthatManuscript image that month.
I have to request that you will take the necessary steps for the repayment of this amount to the credit of Naval Funds in the hands of the Paymaster General.
