I have the honor to inform you that I have received by Telegraph
Resolutions of the House of Assembly of
Vancouver Island dated the 20th
of June relative to the union of that Colony with
British Columbia.

I will not now enter upon any discussion of the subject as I understand
from the telegram which I have received from you dated the 24th of June
that it is your intention to report upon the question by the next Mail.
