I have the honor to acknowedge the receipt of your Despatch No. 41 of the 4th of June last.
It has afforded me much satisfaction to learn that no disturbance or breach of the peace has occurred in Vancouver Island, andIManuscript image I approve of the precautions you have taken to avert any successful descent upon the Colony by Fenians.
