Pursuant to Warrant of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty I Douglas, Jamesappointment as vice admiral now beg to send you herewith Letters Patent appointing James Douglas Esquire C.B. Governor of British Columbia, to be Vice Admiral thereof.

I beg further to acquaint you that the Fees due to the Fee Fund of the High Court of Admiralty on these Letters Patent amount to the sum of Six pounds eight shillings and four pence (£6.8.4).
