Gosset request that his baggage be shipped on the Euphrates.

The minutes distrust Moody’s calculations but agree to this arrangement if he is sure there is room. The CO acquaints Gosset but warns him that he would have to wait for his baggage as the Euphrates will not sail for a month.

Enclosed is a draft from the Colonial Office to Moody requesting him to accept Gosset’s baggage on board the Euphrates.

I have the honour to request that Colonel Moody may be instructed Gosset, Capt. William D.shipment of baggage to ship my baggage in the Euphrates, there being ample space he informs me notwithstanding the late alteration in arrangements.

Lord Carnarvon I distrust Colonel Moody's calculations & I fear his arrangements. But there is no help for it, but to desire him to afford the accommodation desired by Capn Gossett; if he is sure there is room, & it will not cause demands for more storage in other ways.
