Lansing Starr & Co. present their compliments to Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton and beg through him to invite the attention of Her Majesty's Government to their new important through transit route to the new Colony of British Columbia as set forth in the enclosed circulars. They would respectfully suggest to Sir E.B. Lytton that the line they represent is the only route under present circumstances by which either passengers or freight can depend on any certainty of transit to Vancouver or Frazer River without the risk of detention on the way.

Should Lansing Starr & Co be honored with the confidence of Her Majesty's Government for the transmission of any of Her Majesty's Privates or Officers, or of freight or Government dispatches to the Colony in question they can offer the most satisfactory assurances for their prompt and safe arrival at destination.
