Enclosed is a letter from Moody to Blackwood requesting the payment happens as quickly as possible; a draft from the CO to the Treasury forwarding a copy of the letter and asking that the payment be made; and a draft from the CO to Moody advising that the Treasury has been instructed to place £3400 to his credit.

I have the honour to request that the sum of £3400.0s.0d may be placed to my credit at Messrs Cox & Co. to defray the remaining expenses on acct of authorized stores obtained by me.

I would respectfully solicit that this may be done as early as possible as it is of the greatest importance I should complete the payments and forward the accounts and Vouchers before I leave England. I sail from Liverpool on Saturday morning next.

At last we have all the accounts "in," & I hasten to send the request for the Imprest to defray. I would entreat that this be passed on as quickly as possible as I am most anxious to square up all with the vouchers (the most important part of the story) before I leave England. The above is to defray expense of stores authorizedby by Secretary of State and which have been shipped off to B. Columbia.
