<p><persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Moody</persName> requests £3400 for the payment of the stores he obtained for his expedition in <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>.</p>

<p>The minutes agree to this payment.</p>

<p>Enclosed is a letter from <persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Moody</persName> to <persName ref="prs:blackwood_aj">Blackwood</persName> requesting the payment happens <q>as quickly as possible;</q> a draft from the CO to <orgName ref="org:treasury">the Treasury</orgName> forwarding a copy of the letter and asking that the payment be made; and a draft from the CO to <persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Moody</persName> advising that <orgName ref="org:treasury">the Treasury</orgName> has been instructed to place £3400 to his credit.</p>

<p>
I would respectfully solicit that this may be done as early
as possible as it is of the greatest importance I should complete
the payments and forward the accounts and Vouchers before I leave
England. I sail from Liverpool on Saturday morning next.

At last we have all the accounts "in," &amp; I hasten to send the
request for the Imprest to defray. I would entreat that this be
passed on as quickly as possible as I am most anxious to square up
all with the
<hi style="text-decoration: underline;">vouchers</hi> (the most important part of the story) before I leave
England. The above is to defray expense of stores authorized<fw type="catchword" style="text-align: right;">by</fw><pb facs="co_60_03/co_60_03_00351v.jpg"/> by
Secretary of State and which have been shipped off to <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">B. Columbia</placeName>.
