I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's
Treasury to transmit to you, for the information of <persName ref="prs:lytton_egeb">Sir E.B.
Lytton</persName>, the enclosed Copy of a Letter, addressed to the
Paymaster General, by the Governor of <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName>, advising
Bills to the amount of £1.250, on account of the Requisitions
of the Officer commanding the Troops in that Colony; and I am
to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized
to accept and pay these Bills, charging the same, for the present,
