Majesty's Treasury your letter of the <date when="1859-06-17">17<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> June last</date>
transmitting accounts of the stores supplied by the War
Department for the use of the Royal Engineers in <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British

information of the <persName ref="prs:newcastle">Duke of Newcastle</persName> that they have given
directions to the Paymaster General to transfer from the
Parliamentary Grant for <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> to the account of
Army Services the sum of twelve thousand one hundred and
forty three pounds and four shillings (£12.143.4.0)
in repayment of the value of those Stores.

<p>
Their Lordships observe that several <pb facs="co_60_06/co_60_06_00202v.jpg"/>of these Stores
are stated to have been purchased by <persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Colonel Moody</persName>. They
presume that that Officer was duly authorized to purchase
the same, and that they are distinct from those in respect
to which the sums of £3000 and £3,400 were issued to
him as requested by your letters of <date when="1858-09-24">24 September</date> and <date when="1858-10-26">26
