I have the honor of transmitting herewith, copy of a
Proclamation, issued on the <date when="1860-01-20">20<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> day of January instant</date>,

Town and Suburban lots, and agricultural lands, which have

<p>
2. It was intended to convey such powers to the Commissioner
of Lands and Works by the Proclamation regulating the sale of
Public Land, which issued on the <date when="1859-02-14">14<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> day of February 1859</date>,
but it appearing doubtful whether the powers in question have
been actually conveyed by that instrument, in consequence of
the expression "Except as aforesaid" in the 4<hi style="vertical-align: super; font-size: 80%;">th</hi> clause of
that Act,
<pb facs="co_60_07/co_60_07_00092r.jpg"/>
it was deemed advisable to remove the doubt, and to
issue the present Proclamation.
