Not being in possession of the Extradition Treaty of 1842, with the United States of America, I have to request that Your Grace will kindly direct a copy of that document to be forwarded forwarded for my information.

Mr Halksworth Are copies of Treaties sent to Governor Douglas? They are usually sent to all Governors I think. Can you supply the Treaty now wanted or must we ask the For: Office? ABd 12/Ap
It is the practice to send copies of Treaties to Colonial Governors. I enclose a Copy of the Treaty of 1842, now asked for, together with the Act of Parlt which was transmitted with it, to the Colonies in 1844. WH
