The claim for the freight of the various <orgName ref="org:colonial_office">Colonial Office</orgName>
Stores which were conveyed to <placeName ref="plc:british_columbia">British Columbia</placeName> in the "<name ref="vsl:thames" type="vessel">Thames City</name>" having been received and examined in this Department,
I beg to acquaint you, by the direction of their Lordships
that, owing to the apparently very irregular manner in which
the Shipment and delivery of these Stores were arranged by
<persName ref="prs:moody_rc">Colonel Moody</persName>, considerable difficulty has been experienced in
the investigation of the claim.
